About the Project

The CG&CC is Calgary foremost sought after and oldest membership where well to do families and reputable businesses often wait years before finally beholding affiliation. The facility has undergone several renovations mainly on its interiors where a mainly residential warm theme has been adopted throughout for the men and women’s lounge and locker room as well as main living seating area and restaurant.
The club has a fascinating history, Designed as a ranch modern institution, a large modernist building of low pitch cascading roofs, with and expensive space, the building manages to maintain a subtle residential detail.

History

Davignon Martin proposed a complete rehabilitation and conservation to the ranch modern philosophy, adding canopies and tying roof lines, expanding the entrance porte-cochere and finish the building with a warm residential palette complementary to the amazing golf course. The building was transformed and bettered its original style by bringing together incomplete gesture into a complete architectural form.

Spaces

Lead / Prime Architect responsible for all architecture and design related functions such as patio and exterior membership spaces, including sub-consultant and stakeholder coordinator, permit application and procurement, and construction administration services.
